The Initial Encounter
The history of Aplustransition started when Marcel Auclair and Manon Champagne first met in the fall of 2004. At the time, they were both working as independent consultants for Bombardier Aerospace. At the request of one of Marcel’s clients, they agreed to collaborate on a change management training program for leaders. They discovered a natural connection and a shared passion for all things related to organizational transformation.
In November 2005, Manon received a call from Quebec City asking her to meet with a potential client of AFI, a local training company. Several meetings later, Manon and Marcel teamed up with Marie-Pier and Louis St-Hilaire to form AFI Transition, officially launched in February 2006. AFI Transition positioned itself as a change management firm, and enjoyed strong growth over the next two years.
In 2008, Manon and Marcel decided to pursue the dream together in Montreal. AFI Transition was split in two (Montreal and Quebec) and Aplustransition is founded, along with two supportive colleagues: Daniel Viau and Natalie Hubert. The same passion has driven Manon, Marcel and the other consultants who work at Aplustransition from the outset: to support and advise leaders who take on transformations and train managers, professionals and employees to better cope with change. The dozens of clients who have used Aplustransition’s services over the years particularly credit the high-quality advice, client-focused approach and down-to-earth nature of Aplustransition’s consultants.
